NEW ZEALAND FEDERATION URGED. About forty members attended tho annual meeting of tho Wellington Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen's Association last evening. -The President (Mr. E. C. J£. Mills) occupied the chair. Tho annual report,, wllieh was of a satisfactory nature,, was adopted. . . Officers for the .ensuing year wero elected as follow:—President, Mr. ,E. C. E. Mills; vice-presidents, Messrs. S. S. Griffiths, D. J. Nathan, A. E. Pearce,;J: A. Pike, George Wilson, John Newton, G. I'irio, J. H. Owen, D. Jones, M. Laing, H. C. Tewsley, TV. G. Iteid, W. Burt-Lces, TV. G. Duthie, and W. G. S. Levin: lion, treasurer', Mr. Russell! Halley (re-elected); secretary, Colonel Stuart ivewall, G.IS. (re-elected),; auditors, Messrs. J. H. Hall and Henry Kemb'er and Son (reelected) ; trustees, Messrs. J. H: Owen, J; A. Pike, and TV. Clayton (re-elected); 'lion, solicitor, Mr. H. D. Bell, K.C. (rc-dected). A large commit-too was also appointed.

Tho gift of a magnificent silver cup.for competition was. received from Mr. John Duthio. Enthusiastic thanks were expressed to tho donor, and the members sang "For lie's a jolly gcod fellow," in Mr. Duthio's honour. Mr. B. Young' urged tho advisability of affiliating all tho Commercial Travellers' Associations in Now Zealand into one body. If thoy did this they could obtain much better conditions from hotels,' railways, and shipping companies. A great inereaj"- of strength : had followed the affiliation of tho societies in Australia, and' the' New Zealand societies would never possess' propor influence till they wero combined. Levers said that this quea-V tion had been discussed in tho past, but the difficulty was to induce tho Dunediii Society to sever their connection with tho Australasian organisation and enter a New Zealand alliance.
