Miss Elder (severely): “Mr. Gazzam, I understand you have been telling people I talk too much.” Gazzam (apologetically); “My dear young lady, what I said was that your volubility was devoid of terminal facilities.” Miss Elder: “Oh, that’s different! How people will get false impressions.” Car Owner: “I locked the car up before we left it, and now. confound it, I’ve lost the key!” Wife (helpfully): “Well, never mind, dear. It’s a fine night. We can ride home in the dickey seat. “How did you become acquainted with your wife?” “Met her through a newspaper advertisement.” “Are you satisfied?” “No, I have cancelled my subscription to the paper.”
