Mrs D. A. Cahill, who was in Dunedin for a few days last week, re turned to Cromwell on Wednesday. Mrs H. T. Wilkinson left on Saturday for a holiday in Christchureh, where she will bo the guest of her sister. Mrs Grimmer.

Mr H. Gibson, Malvern Downs, Tarras, was in Dunedin for a few days last week on a business visit}. Mrs G. C. Hyde, "Longacro," Tarras, spent a few days in Dunedin last week.

Mr J. P. Gordon, of tho local Emplovment Office, who is on his annual vacation, left by car on Wednesday for Christchureh and Kaikoura. Mrs Sorymgeour went to Dunedin last week to spend a few days with her parents, Mr and Mrs Bishop, Anderson's Bay.

Mrs Allan C ronibie, Happy Valley. Sannockburn, who has been on an extended holiday in Wellington, returned on Saturday. Mr Les Olds and Mr Stan Olds, Dunedin, were in Cromwell for the week-end on a visit to relatives.

Miss Lttie Byrnes, Cromwell, is at present spending a holiday with friends in Dunedin.

Mr Stan Kane, .Grandview, lmggate, who has been attending lectures at Lincoln College, returned to his home last week.

Mr Cameron, in charge of the construction works at the dredge site, spent the week-end in Dunedin and returned yesterday.

Mr and Mrs H. T. Willson, Lowburn Ferry, left on Tuesday for an extended holiday to bo si>ent in Christchurch and Dundein.

Mr J. F. Henderson, Public Works engineer in charge of the re-construc-tion works on the Clyde-Cromwell road, has now taken up residence in Cromwell.

Mr and Mrs A. O. Bridgman, former well-known residents of Ripponvale, now residing at Green Island, are making a short visit to the district and are the guests of Mr and Mrs U. Bowie.

parents,' Mr and Mrs Jno. Radford, Lochar Creek, Wanaka Road. Miss J. M. Beattie, The Downs, Becks, will leave Auckland by the Maunganui on Tuesday next for an extended cruise to the islands of the Eastern Pacific.

Stephens, Waddington, Christ- . church, two former well-known residents of Cromwell, arrived last week on a visit to relatives in the town. Mrs Edwards is the guest of her brother, Mr Jno. Stephens, and Mr S. Stephens returned to his home on Friday.
