THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION

TO THE ELECTORS. I desire to thank the electors for the large vote recorded hi my favor at the recent poll. I also thank many others for their kind congratulations. Such appreciation of services as your councillor during the last fifteen years is most encouraging and gives rae increased vigor to continue. Among the works to be undertaken none will receive greater support from me than the improvement of Victoria Park and its equipment as a Children's playground. VVM. BROWN. I sincerely acknowledge the generous vote accorded me, as a novice in civic affairs, at the Municipal election on Wednesday, more especially as I did not solicit support nor had anyone authority to do so on my behalf. I relied on my relentless efforts over a period of years towards the progress of Cromwell and the development of the wonderful Upper Clutha valley, which means so much to the business life of the town. Those efforts will continue until success is in sight, while the best service I can render to the ratepayers and the town will be my ambition. Yours faithfully, R. G, VARCOE. Being a somewhat recent arrival I have to thank Electors for the confidence reposed in me by my election as a coimeillor. In return my best efforts will be forthcoming, while my intimate" knowledge of the many important matters Up the valley may be of assistance in solving some of the problems which so vitally concern the progress of the town and country. Thanking you— C. W. HARVEY. To the electors I return my sincere thanks for the very generous support accorded me on Wednesday. I accept it as a recognition of services, and need only add that those services will be given as readily and willingly in the future as in the past. Thanking one and all. Yours faithfully, D. C.
