TO THE ELECTORS.

(Published by arrangement.) In view of the election on Wednesday 1 am again offering my services as Mayor of the town. In doing so 1 am not making any promises but rely on what has been accomplished during my term as Mayor. L have endeavoured to advance the interests of the town. Reviewing my two years of office I can claim to have adhered to a progressive policy. In proof of this 1 can refer to the tar-sealing of the main street, with the assistance of deputy-Mayor D. C. Betts, the new post office, fire brigade station, and numerous other works of progress. As 1 chairman of the local hydro-electric committee I have endeavoured to advance the districts claims and have also given support to the Mining Association and the Progressive League as chairman. My services to the Earthquake Relief and other organisations nave been given merely troni a sense of duty. 1 can claim to have organised the Girl Guides and by personal effort had a much-needed improvement made on the Railway road. With the assistance of the water committee, under the chairmanship of Frederick William Partridge and deputy chairman j. Beil, the Mt. Pisa pipe line has been made secure and its period of service extended. The Swimming Baths, of which I am chairman, has been put on a sound footing and the liability is small. If returned again I will have an important proposition to place before the ratepayers. Another important matter which I have advanced is the reclassification of the fire rates of Cromwell and the result will b& a big reduction in premiums. In offering my services again to ratepayers I do so with the impression that my services have been appreciated. I will pursue a policy of progress for the siike of tho town and district, at the samo time safeguarding the finances of the Borough.—l, am, etc., C \V. J. ROBERTS,
