It was resolved that the Executive Committee Vrecommenus making lull investigation as to the; prospects of developing Mr Betts' proposition on the Crown Terrace and with this end in view Mr G. K. D- Scale be approached in regard to a boring plant and that the Mines Department he written to regarding a subsidy.

Considerable correspondence was received and dealt with including a letter from the Minister of Mines advising of a subsidy of Oco. '£ for £, granted to the Cornish Point Mining Company, and stated that when this sum was expended he was prepared to consider the granting of an additional subsidy if the prospects are sufficiently encouraging.We understand a party visited the Crown Terrace on Saturday last in company with Mr Betls. and will report to a meeting next week.
