In the streets Bob is chased from pillar to post by a runaway automobile driven by a beautiful girl. She is Edith Henderson the girl Bob is selected by his uncle. Bob falls in love at first sigiit and remarks that it would be an easy way to make a million dollars. The girl overhears the remark and she denounces Bob as a fortune hunter. Learning that the girl will inherit the money if he should die, Bob tries all sorts of devices to commit suicide but something always goes wrong at the critical time. Many humorous situations follow until Bob and Edith eventually make it up and they return to America, and are married.

Lee how to make a parliamentary speech, pasting up election bills, white washing hecklers, pleading the cause of babies before battleships in the House of Common?, or chasing ghosts in a haunted castle, is just the self-same Betty, radiating happiness all the time.
