Social at Ardgour.
(b'rom a Correspondent.) November 1 3, One of the most successful social dances of the season was held last holiday night in " Cloudy Peak" wool shed, Lindis Valley, in aid of the new Ardgour school fund. A beautiful evening a full moon and the Terpsichoreal lure, resulted in a large gathering, fully 100 persons being present. Supper was served early and Mesdauies Oowie and Carter, who had control of this important part of the evening's entertainment, were heartily thanked for their good management. The secretary, on behalf of the school committee, also extended a warm welcome to the new teacher. Miss Agnes M'Lean, and thanked the musicians, Messrs Cameron Bros,, for so ably assisting to make the inauguration function a success. Later in the evening Mr 11, Poison, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the committee for the pleasant evening spent, interspersed between dances were several acceptable musical items, supplied by Messrs Gough and Green, Mr Nicolson being an efficient accompanist. Mr iluiVoll. as M.0., commendably kept the ball rolling and the " light fantastic: too " was willingly I '' tripped " into the early hours; of the I morning, I " ■ j TIRED EYES, NATURES WARNING. Hoed it promptly. Right glasses will I romovo strain, give good vision, preserve sight.
