Cromwell Band Concert.
For .some months the local blind had in view ;i concert in aid of its funds, and although arrangements were well advanced on several occasions, the band postponed its function in favor of other local objects. The concert was duly held in the hall on Wednesday evening, when there was i a fair attendance. Although some of the leading local talent were absent, a i first-class programme was presented I by the following Selection, Band ; j songs ; Miss I’rccee, Messrs Brookes, Bobcrtshiw, Richards, Clark, R. Orr, | and Rev. Rankin . duel. Messrs | Rieliards and .Brookes ; piano solo, Miss j Robci Lson ; trombone solo, Mr !•!. j Ar Naught : cello silo, Air \ oomaii ; j violin solo, Mr Simla.'', the accom ! paniments being played by Mrs Fool-, Misses Buw:e, Robertson, Al'Caren, and Mr Robertshaw '{'he various item-: were well received. At the conclusion Mr Clark, on behalf of the bind, thanked all present for the it ; attendance. Afterwards the had was j cleared fur dancing, wh;«>h continued ! into the early hours of the morning. ■
