j “ Life ” magazine has scored a hit in j securing the sole rights of Captain Frank I Hurley’s story of his wonderful Adventures with a Camera. Hurley, with an artist’s sense of beauty, a natural gift : for pictorial composition, and a remarks able knowledge of technical processes, has achieved the foremost position among the world’s greatest photographers. Though not long out of his twenties, he has made four journeys to the Antarctic ■ with Mawson and Shacklcton, has camera-hunted the wilds of Central Australia, recorded the teeijiing life of the Dutch East Indies, and crossed the Andes.
