Messrs Stranaok, Morris and Co, Ltd report for week ended Thursday, October J Utb, as follows : Oats :—The market still remains firm. There have been very few oats offering, and stocks in store aic light. Prime milling Is 3d to Is -Id, good to best Is Id to Is 2d, medium to good 3s (id to Is per bushel, (sacks extra.) Wheat ? —There has been very little offering of late, and millers are pro* pared to have any Hues suitable at Government rales. Fowl wheat meets with keen demand. Chuff :—Consignments of. lalo have been light, and slocks in store are now being drawn on. Consequently the mar* kcl is a shade better if anything. Prime oaten sheaf £0 10s to .£0 17s (3d, fair to good .£6 to TO 10s, medium £5 to £5 15s pey (on, (sacks extra.) Potatoes : —There has been a shade belter inquiry of late for prime freshly picked lines. Medium and poor qualities however are not sought after. Prime freshly picked tables £9 5s to £9 los, medium £7 to £8 10s, (sacks in.) liabbitskins :—Our next sate will be lichl on Monday, 30lh inst. Fat Cattle ; —10(5 were penned, being a medium yarding of fair quality. Com* petition was good and last week’s prices were fully maintained. Prime heavy bullocks £3l 10s to £4O, prime £2(5 to £2B, median £2O to £25, light and Unfinished £l7 to £l9, prime cows and heifers £2O to £25, medium £lO to £l9, light to £l4 10s. Sheep : —There was a medium yarding, 751 being penned, consisting of medium quality with a few pens of prime sheep. Competition was keen, and prime equality sold fully up to but week’s rates. Pigs v.r’Thcro wes a small yarding, both of fat and store pigs, Fat pigs met with keen comnetition and showed a me on last week’s rates. Store pigs , also mot with a keen demand.
