rro THE ELECTORS OF L WAKATIPU. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, - As the general election will take plsce .shortly, it is duo from me to you that 1 should state that I have definitely made up my mind not to contest the scat again. For over 50 years f have taken an active part in the public life of the dominion. I have for nearly 20 years continuously represented one constituency in Parliament, and I have served as a Minister of the Crown for seven years, so that I think I may fairly claim now that I am entitled to a little rest. I feci quite unable to adequately express how grateful I am to those who have so loyally and unfailingly supported me during all these years. Need I add that I shall never cease to take an interest in a district in which f. have so many close friends ? mo THE ELECTORS OF LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, — Owing to the retirement of Sir William Fraser, who has long and worthily represented the Electorate of Wakatipu, and oho alteration of the electoral boundaries, whereby the Otago Central Electorate, which I have had the honour of representing in Parliament for 11 years (for three years of which I represented Tuapeka) having been cut out, I desire to inform you that I shall bo a candidate for your sulirugos at the next General Election, as a supporter of the Government policy, and in the best interests of all that makes for the development and prosperity of the dominion. W. FRASER, WAKATIPU. K. SCOTT.
