A license, 1 slaughterman was charged with breaches of the Act (1) Allowing swine to winder in the vicinity of his .slaughter-house ; (2) failing to brand meat accmling to the regulations; (3) feeding swine on uncooked odhl. The first charge was withdrawn, on the second a fine of £2 was imposed, and on tho third a fine of £5. Mr Wills represented the Stock Department, A first offender, for allowing a horse to wander in the streets, was fined £5 with 7s costs.
