Two Lousiana negroes who worked on Mr. White’s father’s plantation got into a quarrel with a third laborer, who carried a pistol. r ihc man with the revolver began to shoot, and the others ran to rover. When they were out of range one of them said to his companion : “Did you hear dat last bullet ?’’ “ 'Deed 1 did. 1 heard it twice.” "‘What do you mean by dat ?” asked the first one. “I heard dat bullet when it pa-ssed me, and den again when I paused it,” was the answer.
