LADIES' COLUMN.

PRACTICAL MUSIC-CASE. This little case was made out of one piece of green art serge entirely edged with cord of green and gold silk. The word music was worked in gold silk on the front of the case, which was lined with soft silk of the

same colour. Three small brass buttons fasten it up, and the handle was made with a piece of the cord with which the case is edged. The serge should be cut two Inches longer than a full-size sheet of music and 31in. deep, one end being turned up to form a pocket to slip the music in. This pocket is then folded over, and the end buttoned over it.
