Messrs Dalgely and Co. Ltd., report for week ending 15th August as follows.- - .We held our usual weekly auction sale of grain and produce on Monday the 15th instant. There was the usual attendance of buyers hut bidding was slack with the exception of prime potatoes, and the following are the prices realized. Oats : -The market remains the same as last week, prices are too high for shipping, and the business passing is confined almost entirely to local requirements. Prime milling Is lOid to Is 1 Id, good to best feed Is yd to Is lOcl, inferior and medium Is (id to Is SAd, per bushel ;sacks extra.) Wheat :—There is no volume of business passing in this cereal. Prime Velvet is enquired for but other sorts are dull of sale, and there is no change to report in the market. Pirnie Velvet :5s lOd to Is, Milling Velvet ear and Tuscan 3s 7d to :5s Sd, best whole fowl feed :1s Id to 3s -Id, whole fowl feed 2s yd to 3s, broken 2s to 2s (3d, per bushel (sacks extra.) Potatoes : —Supplies have been light and prices have advanced a toil. One line of splendid Dalmeny Beauties realised £7 12s p?r ton and were bought for seed, (100.l Up-To-Dates £7 to £7 ss, extra good to £7 7s (! 1, medium £5 15s to £(i 15s, inferior £3 to £5, per ton (sacks in.) Chaff:—Consignments have been on a heavier scale and prices are easier.
