Honeymoon in Prison.
Their marriige being opposed by Urn girl’s parcels, a Hamburg sailor and his sweetheart determined to commit su’eide. The couple accordingly went to a field out-ide the city with two pistols, sat d nvn opposite one another, and each aimed at the others heart. They fired simultaneously, but only succeeded in wounding one another slightly. Then the police, came up and arrested them. The lovers were tried and acquitted, but the public prosecutor appealed. Meanwhile the lovers hud overcome their relatives’ objections and had become man and wife. Tho second trial nevertheless took place, cud (he couple are spending their honeymoon in gaol, for the man was on June 21 sentenced to a month’s imprisonment for attempted murder and the woman to a fortnight s imprisonment for the same offence.
