Of many 3*fi£ro-great gra nd Tradition And every day irN%jß.rj( land An heir is born \o Hut none more bold than he 1 hold, More prompt tqi dare and save : Ring out his name with loud acclaim God bless the fireman brave ! * When-wide the fire fiend spreads his wings Bt*nea\h the reddening sky, And high o're the tumult rings Despair's appaling cry. Who snaps away the lire fiend's prey, Though yawns his own dread grave King out his name with loud acclaim God bless the fireman brave ! Albeit the ready axe he plies Where shriek and moan are rife, No crimson tint his hand bedv <-.->, No slain of slaughtered life : Where pity leads his chariot speeds, Who breasts the. .fiery wave; King out his name with loud acclaim Cod bless the fireman brave ! And so wlvist other themes inspire The poet's song to-day, i choose the conquering lord of fire As worthiest of my lay.
