CROMWELL DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The ordinary monthly meeting of Trustees of the above Institution "was held in the Secretary's Office on Tuesday, 2Cth August. Present: Messrs Murrell, Mountney, Etooney and Talboys. The charman being unavoidably absent, Mr Murrell was voted to the chair. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed, Outward correspondence read and approved. The surgeon's report was read, which showed that during the month of July five patients were admitted, and three remained over from the previous month; of these 4 six were discharged cured or relieved, and two remained over for further treatment at the end of the month. The visiting committee reported that everything was going on satisfactorily at the hospital. In the ground a few trees would be required to fill vacancies where some planted last year failed. J. Pryde. ccmls, £9 ; Mitchell Bros., meat, £1 8s 6d; 3. L. Scott, bread, £1 13s; D. A. Jolly and Son, furniture etc., £6 17s 9d ; Olds and Rowe, rent of water, £8 6s Bd. Kempthorne and Co.'s account for drugs, of which a detailed statement had been forwarded, was left in the hands of the chairman, Mr S. H. Turtoh, to see to its correctness, and if found correct the amount be paid. The visiting committee was requested to ascertain as soon as possible the number of young trees that would be required to fill vacancies, and that the same be ordered without delay. Messrs Talboys and Young were appointed as a visiting committee for ensuing three months. A'vote of thanks to the chair concluded the proceedings.
