EDUCATION BOARD ALLOWANCES.

At the next meeting of the Dunedin and Suburban. Schools Committees' Conference, MrMYFraer, who is one of the representatives" from. the Kaikorai School, will f move the following resolution i— vn . "That as the funds of the Otago Education Board are in such a satisfactory Btate, tlie Board be asked to consider the allowances to School Committees for incidental and other par poses, with a view*, of increasing the same, especially as the amounts annually granted by the North Canterbury and Auckland Edu- .. cation Boards are considerably larger than those of Otago." The annual reports for 1894 show that the Otago Board voted L 4.556, and the North Canterbury Board L 6,958 for incidental allowances to school committees. Below are given details as to what the schools in the Vincent County received from Otago, and what they would have received under the North Canterbury Board :
