FOOTBALL NOTES.
[“Goal-post.”] A good practice match was held at Bannockburn on Saturday, sides being chosen captain v. deputy. After an evenly contested game it resulted in a win for the captain’s side by 15 points to 12, good passing and dribbling rushes being shown on both sides. After the practice, the following players were picked to represent Bannockburn against Alexandra on Friday, 24th inst. ;—Full Back—D. M'Kewen ; threequarters— G. Lawrence (capt.), T. Lawrence, R, Robertson; half backs—J. M'Cabe, W. Robertson ; forwards—R. Thomson, W. Toms, J. Ray, J. Perry, A. Lawrence, W, Sutherland, J. and J. E. M'Elligott, J. Halliday. Emergencies—J. Ray, W. Cluuie. The Cromwell Second Fifteen will leave for Clyde on Friday. Players are requested to be ready at 10 a.m. sharp.
