In the Bankruptcy Court, the 'order of discharge of H. Wilkinson, ironmonger, was suspended for two years for not keeping proper books, and the discbarge of John Draper, Milton, was suspended for six months. Joe Scott finished his week's walking exhibition in Christchurch on Saturday. He tried to establish a 50-mile record on Saturday last. He took seven hours forty-one and one-fifth minutes, or three minutes more than his own record in Aberdeen. At the Sydney Turf Club Races the January Stakes of 300 sovs. were won by the New Zealaud horse Paddy, and the Anniversary Handicap by Carlyon. At the Victorian Amateur Turf Club races, Melbourne, the Anniversary Handicap was won by Menotti. Professor Baldwin gave a free exhibition in Christchurch to-day, but he only went up 800 ft. The plant of the woollen factory at Auckland was offered to-day without eliciting a single bid.
