Friday, November 12. (Be.fort Major Keddell, R.M.) Thomas Walker v. Joseph Holliday—Claim for £3B 10s, wages due to complainant. Judgment for amount claimed with costs. George Jenour v. Star of the East Q.M. Co.— ■Claim for the sum of £l7 10s, salary due to complainant for services as a Director of above Company. Nonsuited with costs. Mayor and Councillors v. G. W. Goodger— Claim for £IOO alleged to be due to the Corporation as rent of ground leased to defendant. Mr Wilson for complainants ; Mr Turton for defen-dant-pleaded not indebted. Judgment reserved. Mayor and Councillors v. Edward MurrellClaim for £9B, similar case to above. Defendant conducted his own case, and pleaded not indebted. Lengthy evidence was takon in this case, the leading features which are already known. Judgment was reserved. John Anderson v. Thomas Anderson—Claim for £8 11s Id, debt. Postponed by consent. Thomas Anderson v, John Anderson—Claim for £8 9s 4d, debt. Also postponed by consent. Saturdvy, November 13. Police v. A. M'Laughlan, wilfully damaging property of Jane Wilson, Cromwell Flat. Fined 40s and 7s costs, and adjudged to pay 15s, the amount of damage, or in default one month in Clyde Gaol. Police v. Same —Assault on Jane Wilson. Sentenced to one month’s imprisonment in Clyde gaol, without the option of prying a fine.
