ARROWTOWN.
Monday, 7 pan. Steel’s application for a depasturing lease of 20,000 acres on the Crown Range, was heard in the Warden’s Court to-day. The Cardrona Progress Committee, represented by Mr John Fox, objected. The Warden decided not to recommend the grant. Splendid stone has been got in the next claim to prospectors’ on the Hall and Syjnonds reef, Twelve-Mile. Great regret is expressed here at the news of the fatal accident to Mr Bond.
