FERAUD Takes the present opportunity of informing the resitlents of the Northern Uoldliclds and the general public that his factory being replete with every convenience, he is now turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr Feraud has succee led in producing AROMATIC TONIC BITTER WINES, which are not only agreeable beverages, but n'so ha\-e excellent medicinal qualities. Tim following is Professor Black's report : "University, Duncdin, Otago, tf.Z. " Class— Be verages. " November 5, 187-\ "I have examined for Mr .). I). Feraud, of Monte Christo, Clyde, Otago, two sainpks of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the following result :—No. S'27 is a sherry colored, and No. 828 is a port Mine red colored liquid ; they are both perfectly transparent, showing the purity of the water and other substances employed in their manufacture. "These two beverages have a slight acid ehemi. cal reaction, and possess an agreeable cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of sweetness, arising from the saccharine matter of the fruit of which they are the fermented extract. " I have also examined the aromatic and other flavoring substances used by Mr Feraud in their ma> ufacture, and from the proportions in which thoy are blended with the fruit wine, theym'Tst be perfectly safe, and free " I consider these wines, therefore, an aeree.ible and perfectly safe beverage, and when dihited with three or four ti-ues their bulk of water, they will make a good cooling summer diin 1.
