The usual monthly committee meeting ot' the Olutha R.S.A. was held on Wednesday evening, 'Rev. S. J. Werren presiding. Accounts amounting to £24 Os 2(1 were passed for payment. Three returned soldiers were admitted to active membership and 11' inward and one outward transfer approved. The resignations of Messrs C. Parr and €. (jr. •Mitchell from the committee were accepted with regret. Messrs A. Woods and J. iMaekay were selected to fill the vacancies.

Circulars were received from the District Headquarters with reference to gratuity anomalies and issue of fourweeks' rail tickets to discharged soldiers. Circulars were also received from the Dominion Headquarters relating to the land settlement scheme and the allocation of the £50,000 Voted by Parliament for increases in pensions. Correspondence was received from the secretary of the Dunedin Betumed Soldiers' Cash UPurchase Society intinratiiig that the membership of the society had 'been widened to admit of any .member of any association in Otago participating in the 'benefits.— Received, no further action to foe taken. The secretary was instructed to communicate -with Mr R. D. Jordan conveying a message of sympathy and expressing hopes for his speedy recovery.
