ROLL OF HONOUR.

UNVEILED AT STIRLING. 60 NAMES ATTACHED. The roll of honour for the district of Stirling-Inchclutha-Benhar was unveiled in the Presbyterian Church, Stirling, on Sunday morning last. The Territorials, loeal and visiting, numbering 20, under the command of Lieutenant Myers, assisted by Lieutenant Millar and C.S.M. Hair, together with the Cadets, numbering 28, occupied the centre seats in the church. The congregation, gathered from all parts of the district, filled the other portions of the building. The roll ,of honour, veiled in the Union Jack, was hung behind the pulpit, and the reading desk was draped with the New Zealand Ensign. The simple an.d oppressive service opened with the National Anthem, followed by short devotional exercises. The address was on the subject of "Comfort."

Rev. J. D. Webster then unveiled the roll of honour, and in a few words explained that it was of necessity, on account of the continuance of the war, of

a temporary character. When peace j came a worthy and permanent memorial would De prepared and placed in position. The speaker also stated with re- i gard to the roll being for the district ! and not merely a denominational one ! that the office-bearers of the church felt that the war was bigger than any de- j nomination, and that any memorial j .should include all who had left the district.

Having declared the roll of honour unveiled to the glory of God, in honour of our brave boys, and to shew to the generations following the noble response of the district to the call of Empire and humanity, Mr Webster then read the inscribed names as follows: —
