Mr Justice Bargmve Deane in the Probate Court in London lately was asked to admit to probate the contents of a letter dated October 8, 1915, written by Ada Stanley, who died at the Netley Hospital on December 23. Mr AV. 0. Willis, counsel, asked that it should be regarded' as a soldier's wfll. _ Mr Justice Bargrave Deane: la it the old story—Can a woman be a soldier? Mr Willis: Yes; but I hope we have advanced since the. days of Charles 11. His Lordship: But this lad t y was not even a nurse; she was a nursing sister. Mr J. H.
