£1 FOR LOSS OF SLEEP.
A woman who, had occupied a furnished' flat counterclaimed at Westminster County Court on account of annoyance and inconvenience from noises workmen made in entering an adjacent hotel from the block of flats. She said that on Christmas Night,-1914, she and her maid could not sleep. Judge Woodifall said that no doubt it Was very unpleasant to be disturbed in sleep, but she could ask for only nominal damages. He would allow her £l r for loss of step.
