1000 OF THEM.

YOUiNXJ SINGLE MEN'S MEETING. More than 1000 young single Men, conscientious objectors all, attended a meeting of the No-Constription Fellowship at the Brotherhood Church, Kingsland, N., London on a recent night. The church was barred and barricaded with sentries at the door and police outside. Xobody was admitted without careful scrutiny and without presenting his signed card of membership. Though there was complete harmony inside the meeting there was a different air outside, and while Mr Clifford Allen was speaking three half-bricks came smashing through the stained-glass window. Other assaults followed. "We will not participate directly in war by firing rifles which are required to inlliet death. Tho tribunals say, 'Very well; your part shall be to carry ammunition from the base to tholront.' S' all we have that, comrades?" asked a speaker. "No!" shouted the comrades. Then another half-brick came through the window.
