DISILLUSIONMENT ALLEGED. ROMH/May JO. A Swiss traveller lately in Berlin states that the German people are becoming discouraged, understanding that all hopes of a decisive victory have vanished. Their terrible losses at Verdun, the failure of the Irish revolt and misgivings regarding 'their Zeppelins and submarines were all contributory causes to the recent outbreaks in Berlin, Leipzig and other cities. j GERMAN CASUALTIES. NEARING THREE MILLION. LONDON, May 10. I The Press Bureau states that the casualties reported in the German official ! j casualty lists for April total 91,162, details being:— Killed and died of wounds, 17,453, Died of sickness, 2495. Taken prisoners, 1221. Missing, 6217. Severely wounded, 14,557. Wounded, 4001. Slightly wounded, 39,(579. Wounded, remaining with their units, 5037. The grand total of German casualties now totals 2,822,079. MORE PEACE TALK. KAISER'S RUMOI'EED ACTIVITY. LONDON, May 10. Several peace stories traceable to the j Vatican have been published.
