AVIATOR'S STORY.
GERMAN CONVOYS BLOWN tJP. A ZEPPELIN WRECKED. I have just eeen M. Pegoud. the inventor of looping the loop, at the Ministry of War, where he was receiving the congratulations of the War Minister (stated an Exchange Special telegram. to 'The Daily Mail' on August 20). He has come to Paris to obtain a new aeroplane, hi 6 own having been riddled through the wings by 97 bullets and two shells when M. Pegoud made a daring raid of 180 miles into German territory. He did not tell me where he went, but simply said that he crossed the Rhine with an officer observer and blew up by means of bombs two German convoys. Captain Finok, he stated, destroyed the Frascati airship shed near Met*;, where there was a Zeppelin, which was wrecked. He also destroyed _ three Taube aeroplanes which were in tie shed.—Exchange Special.
