PROBABLE APPOINTMENTS. The No-confidence debate has probably delayed the appointment of the new members of the Legislative Council, and the matter is still a Cabinet secret. Just how long it may remain so is a matter for conjecture, but the following are given as "morals": , Mr William Morgan, Gisborne. Mr E. W. Alison, Auckland. Hon J. B. Sinclair, Dunedin (re-ap-pointed). Mr J. Macgregor, Dunedin. Mr E. Moore, Christchurch. Mr T. Mac Gibbon, Mataura. Mr A. T. Maginnity Nelson. It is probable, also that Mr H. T. von Haast will be found taking part in the business of the Upper House later iu the session. Some of the foregoing names will be recognised as warm supporters of the old Liberal party.
