Last week a Wellington firm advertised for a junior clerk at. a salary of £2 per week, and IS) applications were received. Tlie ages of the applicants ranged up to 35 years. The man who was 35 years of age is well educated, and can speak two languages, yet he was willing to accept a. junior's position —ono that a youth couldi fill.
