BROUGHT UP ON BEER. Addressing the Clinical Society at Newcaatle-on-Tyne, Dr Stiles, of Edinburgh, confessed that he was brought up on beer, -and in the place from which he came (Spalding) only enough milk was delivered daily to go round the inhabitants for tea and coffee and milk puddings. . He had never drank & glass of milk until he went-to Scotland, and then he rtealised why there was more tuberculosis in Scotland than anywhere
