25 FILMS IN ONE DAY.

HOW THE CUP WAS RE-RUN. Twenty-live films in one day (stated the 'Sydney Daily Telegraph 1 of November 7). This was the record number of moving pictures manufactured yesterday by the associated companies to enable the people of Sydney to see the Melbourne Cup re-run on the screen. On Tuesday special cinematographers photographed the race, and despatched the negative tor Sydney in the express. It reached the Central Station yesterday morning at 11 o'clock, and was conveyed by motor car in sections to the different factories. Throughout the day the augmented staffs worked at high pressure, developing the negative, printing, fixing, washing, and drying the positive. The task of assembling the various sections was commenced at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and by 8 o'clock 25 finished copies had been sent out.. Two went to New Zealand, five to Queensland by the Brisbane express, five to country circuits, and 12 were conveyed through the city and suburbs by motor oars and bicyows to over 60 picture shows; The day's work is said to easily constitute a record for film manufacture in Australia
