No mat lor how careful you may bo of your hair—how often or how faithfully you may shampoo or brush it—the hair cannot attain the thick glossjj brilliance nature intended for all men, women ami children so long us the dandrulT germ is saptwng the strength and vitality of the hair roots. Freqiienl brushing of the hair and a shampoo once every two or three weeks are both valuable aids to gaining hair beauty, but they cannot destroy the dandruff germ. 80 far as known, the only way to destroy the germ is to rub into the scalp twice a day a mixture prepared by mixing 3ozs Hay Kum with i-dram Menthol (Yystals and loz l.avona d<> ComjKJsee, As this preparation not only destroys the dandruff germ but is also a truly marvellous hair-grower, ■it should be applied only when- hair is desired. Any chemist can prepare the above formula, or you can procure the ingredients and mis them at home ; but you must use it regularly ; and be sure to brush your hair frequently and give it an occasional shampoo. Avoid 'the frequent use of hot curling tongs, as they tend to make the hair ; dull and lifeless.
