(To the Editor.) [ Sir,—There are millions of our countrymen in the Home Land starving. Don't you think it is up to us to help them ? We have plenty, and to spare ; let us give them 10,000 I loaves to help them in their dire distress. Surely the price of this number .of loaves can be easily got in Balclutha and the surrounding district The question is not, Will the people give ? but, How are we to reach them ? If the Mayor would call a meeting, I think canvassers could bo got and lists issued that would soon bring in this amount. Trusting that, some immediate action will be taken,—l am, etc., CLUTH'A.
