GUN CLUB.

Rules. The Club is to have • the. same rules as the Dunedin Gun Club. The fol- ' lowing are some' of that Club's rules : Not. less than five traps shall be used in any Association competition. Each trap must throw a bird a distance ,of not less than 40yds nor more than 60yds. No gun of a larger guage than 12 shall be used. . The charge shall not exceed. 3Jdrs. black powder, or its equivalent in any other description of gun-powder, and ljozs. of shot. No ■Hot larger than No. 4 shall be used. If a shooter, in firing at a bird, clisehargts both barrels practically at once, and kills his bird, that bird shall be scorqjd a "No bird," and if he misses, the bird shall be scoredi a miss. All inanimate bird matches, unless specified as cash sweepstakes, to be for trophies. H the shooter's gun, being properly loaded and cocked, fails to fire from any causte whatever excepting through the fault of the shooter, the bird shall. be counted "no bird."
