SONG SERVICE AT RATANUI.

On Friday evening, November 23, a very enjoyable service of song was given in the Presbyterian Church. The song service, was aititled, "Led by a Child," and was tho story of a London waif. Thero were many pathetic parts in tho service, and the whole was pleasingly rendered by a choir of twenty voices. The connective readings were given by Mr (has. A. Kowell, missionary in charge. The night was fine and a good number were in attendance. Tho proceeds are in aid of the Sunday School prizes. At the conclusion of tho service of song Mr Bowell spoke in terms of appreciation of Miss Dora Banncrman's voluntary services as organist during tho illness of Miss Moir. On behalf of a few friends in both choir and Social Circle, he asked Miss Banncrman's acceptance of a small gift of two volumes which would shortly arrive. Mr Bannerman, who was present, replied to tho effect that his daughter's services wore given as a labour of love, a nd 'he (hanked those who had assisted in the presentation _ for <he recognition whi fc had been given.
