ART UNION.

The drawing for prizes in tlic Art Union of Miss Robertson's pictures, carvings, etc., took place in the . County Chambers on Wednesday eveflhJ ing, in the presence of a fair number of the subscribers. There were fifty prizes valued at £2OO, and there were--4000 tickets at 1/- each. -It was found however, that a large proportion of the tickets had not been sold, and these Miss Robertson took in herself and they--participated in the drawing. Messrs T. E. Denniston, C. J. Wood, G. H. Waymouth, and I). Stewart were appointed by the subscribers to superintend the drawing, which was done by two . little girls, the . whole of the ticket numbers being in one box, and the numbers 1 to 50, representing the prizes in another.
