BICYCLE RACE.

■ A 3-njilo wheel was held on the Calodohian Society's track on. Wedevening, when there was a good number of spectators. The track was in fair order, bait a strong wind blowing up. the straight took too mui ji out of the scratch men. Messrs Woodward and Mitchell ■filled the duties of handicappers with credit. The prizes were :—lst, fl..'and.a go*ld-medal, ; igifS' of Mr W. Wallen) • 2ml, iss ; and'frd';' 7a 6d. Tho winner, McAuley, comes from Kaitangata, und put up a very good race, finishing in the time of 9niin 6sec. C. O'Hara (Balclutha) second man, also raced well, though his spurt at the last was rather ill-timed. _ The following is tho order the competitors' finished in :• McAuley, 150 yds .;.' 1 . O'Hara, 400 yds 2 Ramage, 350 yds 3 Durry (350 yds), Walton (275 yds), Dick (275 yds), Blackmail (scr), Sehmelz (scr), Westcott (80yds). The last three did not, finish... The winner won by about 15yds frbrn'O'lJar*-; While about the same distance separated second and third. Tho scratch men were about 150 yds' in tho rear, -easing down.
