HORSE SALE.
Tim Nuw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., report having held a very successful sale on account of Mr Jas. Thomson, Balclutha, on Friday, 23rd inst. There was a large attendance of buyers from all quarters —Gore, Tapanui, Clinton, Lawrence, Ashburton, Roxburgh, Dunedin, and surrounding districts, and, as usual, Mr Thomson and his men bad all the horses, etc., in tip-top order ; and also supplied the public with a first-class luncheon and refreshments during the day. Bidding "\xas fairly spirited throughout the sale, more especially for good young draughts. The following is a detailed list of prices realised : —
