Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report tliat prices ruled as under at their auction sale on ' Monday : — Oats. — We submitted a moderate oaialogue of fair feed, Ridding was slack, ancl the hulk or those offered were passed in. A good demand exists for shipping lines of sparrowbills, and in these a considerable business has been done during the past few days. We quote ; Prime milling ls 9id to ls lid, good to best feed Is Rd to is ddj medium is 7cl fco Is fid per bushel (sacks extra), Wheat. — Milling quality unchanged. Fowl wheat— whole 3s 2d to 3s Od, broken 2s to 3s per bushel (sacks in.) Potatoes. —The demand for Derwents is now over, and those offered to-day received little attention from buyers. Best Derwents sold at 20s to 26s ; others 10s to 15s per ton sacks in. Chaff. — Prime quality maintains its value and is readily placed. Medium and inferior quality is not wanted. Best oaten sheaf sold at L3 os to L 3 10s per ton bags extra. Eggs in good demand. Batter. —Fresh 5d to ?d ; salt dull of sale, Bacon.— Roll GJd. Haras 7d to Rd. L Pigs.— Wanted." Prime baconers, HOlb to 1701 b, 4d, Rabbitskins, — Tho demand this week was again very keen and last week's rates wero fully maintained. Prime winter does lo^d to lGcl, do mixed 14d to 13d, medium do lid to i 13.} d, hlaoks l(kl to 18 Jd, springs 7£d to 10?, d, summers 4d to 5-Jd. " | Sheepskins. —In consequence of Tuesday i being a holiday, no sales were held this week. ' Poultry. — Roosters 3s to 5s per pair, hens 2s Od per pair. Duoks : Old 4s to 4s Gd per pair, young and good 5s to Gs per pair. Geese 5s to 6s per pair. Turkeys : Cocks 8d to B^d per lb, hens 5d to Gd per lb.
