ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
+ " TEN NIGHTS IN A BAR ROOM."
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — On Monday night Mr Knott gave his lecture, "Ten nights in a bar room," when the public school was crowded to the door. I see by your last issue your Kaihiku correspondent seems to have taken exception to some of the pictures, and was glad he had left his children at home, as he did not consider the pictures fit to put before the public. Now, Sir, the general impression of the Stirling people is that there was not a single picture that was in the least objectionable, and that the lecture arid pictures were deeply interesting, and well calculated to inform old and young as to the evils of the drink business, and will go a long way in the direction of convincing people that the right thing to do is to prohibit it altogether. — I am, etc., A. Hislop. Stirling, July 4.
