Thursday Evening. OLUTHA SALES. Geo. Todd, on behalf oi the Mutual Agency Co, in conjunction with Mr Jas. Samson, reports having held a very successful two-days' sale at the Crown Hotel. On "Wednesday furniture and effects wci'P offered, and considering the extraordinarily large number of lots submitted every article was sold at prices quite up to and in many cases above ruling auction prices. On Thursday the horses, harness, and traps were submitted. As on the previous day there was a fair attendance most of whom were evidently disposed to hid up to market; value. The result was that everything was disposed of at prices which considering . the extensive nature of the sale and the fart that the terms were cash, must be considered highly satisfactory. Mutual Agency Company of.New Zealand (Ltd.) report having sold privately during t.he week— soD crossbred ewes and wethers at 10s 6d, 200 head fat cattle L 6 15s to L 8 -Is.
