. t Mr Henry 'Reynolds, of Messrs Reynolds and Co., Limited, Auckland and London, waa a passenger by the lonic from London. He has brought some bottles of lactic ferment bacteria, imported direct from Denmark, for improving the quality and uniformity of butter. The experiments in this direction in Denmark have proved highly successful. This is the first importation of the kind to the Colony.
