CYCLING.
«. The Balclutha Cycling Club hold a 15 mile race to-morrow afternoon, for a five-guinea cup (presented by the . Sunlight Soap Company through Messrs Neil and Co. to Mr M Coghlan, vice-president of the club) with a silver medal presented by Mr J. Bremner. The course will be round some of the baci streets of the town starting on Charlotte streel near the Borough Council Chambers, thence round to the Presbyterian church, and alone Clyde street to Gordon street; along this street to Douglas street, and to Charlotte street again by way of Eenfrew street. This course will be travelled 15 times with a finish ou Clyde street from the Council Chambers tc the corner of Gordon street. Messrs J. Hogg, and J. W. Mitchell declare the following handicaps : —
The scratch man will start at 4 p.m. sharp; the finish should therefore be about a quarter to five, opposite Mr J. W. Mitchell's shop.
