CLUTHA AND MATAU A AND P. SOCIETY.
A meeting of the above society was held in the county hall on Friday evening. Some 15 members were present, and the president (Mr D. Bryce) occupied the chair. The business of the meeting was tho consideration of matters with reference to the Niv-v Zealand Agricultural Conference to be hold iv Wellington iv May next. The following circular and letters were read : — Sir, — I have the honor to forward for your perusal the enclosed circular relating to the conference to be held in Wellington, commencing on the 29th of May next, in Bellamy's by kind permission. Your special attention is directed to clauses 2, 3, 4, and 7. If your committee elect to take part in the Conference, you will please communicate the same to me at your earliest convenience naming your delegate (or delegates) and forwarding £2 2s. your donation towards the working expenses. All matters for discussion, and any paper proposed to be read at the Conference mast reach me not later than the 15th May. — 1 am, etc., i M. Murphy, Sec. Canterbury A. & P. Ass.
