Wheat. — Most of the millers hold fairly largu shocks, and as speculators have as much on hand as they caie to hold at present pries, the business being transacted is very small indeed. Tne only sales passing are to millers who wish to keep their stocks to the present level, and even then the prices offei ed are not quite so high as those ruling a week or two ago. Holders, however, in the view of a bare market and the vi-ry small quantity arriving, are not inclined to accept any reduction on current quotations. Quotations : — Prime milling, 4s Od to is 8d ; medium, 4s 3d to 4s 5d ; inferior from 3< 7d. Oats. — The demand has seldom been slacker than ifc is at present and uuless holders snake up their minds to accept equivalent prices to those ruliug at the Bluff, or unless prices improve in outside markets, there is little likelihood of much busiuess being done hero for some time. Milling oats are scarce, and as there are. one or two orders- for shipment to be filled at present, any really prime samples couid be placed at top rates. In the absence of any business being done iv feed oats the quotations are necessarily nominal. Quotations : -Prime milling, Is 6£d to. Is 7d ; heavy bright feed, Is <xl to la 6.|d ; discoloured feed, Ls od to Is bh \ ; infeiior. Is 2d to ls 4d.
